Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed our christian generation´s deficiencies regarding selfcare and how to put our life in order. We need a biblical, balanced, and practical perspective. There are two ways to approach this, and as in every dichotomy, acting upon one extreme or the other does not guarantee a healthy balance. We often ask ourselves things like: What does God say about selfcare? How can I take care of myself and organize my life in a wholesome way? Isn´t that selfish? Is it sinful to emphasize taking care of the body? We read clear instructions in Scripture that tell us that we are called to love with all of our mind, soul, strength and heart (two of which imply the physical aspect). God has given us a body, and when He came to the world He came in a body. When He ascended to heaven, He ascended in a body, but when it was necessary to crucify Him, He was willing to do it.
